Welcome to Furness Music Centre. We are a true community music centre in the Furness Peninsula in South Cumbria, catering for all ages and abilities of people who want to make music with others.
If you are an orchestral or choral musician, you may like to join one of our groups at our Saturday Music School, and enjoy ensemble music or singing in a choir. If you a music lover who is looking to learn more about concerts in the region, there are many events throughout the year that you are welcome to attend, and we are certain that you will find something to suit your musical preference!
We offer a two year twilight study course for the AQA GCSE Music qualification - open to all ages.

12-1pm Performance & Exams - Get the best from your performance in all situations (what to do/what to wear/ combat nerves/how to prepare/presentation tips)
2-3.45pm Flute Workshop - all welcome

* Don't forget the extra rehearsals for everyone going on tour - both Saturdays before we leave at 9am-12pm, and both Wednesdays 6-9pm. Mandatory rehearsals for all please.
Music Centre Tour to Normany and Disneyland, France July 11-17th 2008
Final balance by 12th April please.
Cost £370 (children) / £380 (adults) in single, twin or triple en-suite rooms.
Full board, deluxe coach travel and trips included.
3.5 days in the stunning medieval city of Bayeux staying at the beautiful Monestary of Saint Benoit with its lovely gardens and fabulous architecture
2 days at The Hotel Explorer in the Disney Paris resort
What we will see and do:
5 performances of chamber music and choral music in Bayeux Cathedral & the St Benoit Monestary, and the American War Cemetery near Omaha Beach in Normandy.
A full day visit to Disneyland Paris performing live on the DISNEY MAGIC MUSIC DAY stage in the main park in the evening, after a day of roller coasters and rides!
Visit Bayeux Cathedral with its stunning and unique Medieval stained glass
See the incredible Bastille Day fireworks in Bayeux
Visit the amazing famous Bayeux Tapestry
Learn about religion, monastic life, and the rich history of the region
Develop confidence in performance
Make new friends and have fun!!!
